Many volunteer opportunities are available!
Chosen’s mission to Foster Forever Families, by living the Gospel, so that all children can have a safe and loving home wouldn’t be possible without the many hands and feet of our volunteers that support our work!

Family Closet Opportunities
Sorting Team
Commitment: 3 hours per week at either Waukesha or West Allis, typically during donation hours (Thursdays, 10 AM - 1 PM).
Responsibilities:
Sort incoming clothing donations.
Organize sorted items into storage bins.
Inventory Team
Commitment: 3 hours per month in Waukesha.
Responsibilities:
Update inventory levels by tracking our needs. (Thursday mornings.)
Seasonal Inventory Change
Commitment: 3-5 hours twice a year at Waukesha.
Responsibilities:
Pull seasonal clothing, sort, and return off-season items to storage.
Organize current seasonal items into bins or hanging racks.
Committee Opportunities
Fundraising Committee
Commitment: 5-10 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
Attend monthly planning meetings (Zoom option available).
Plan and execute fundraising events.
Golf/Gala Sub-committees: positions are available to assist with major fundraising events.
Programming Committee
Commitment: 5-10 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
Attend monthly planning meetings (Zoom option available).
Plan and execute community events (e.g., VBS, Toypalooza, Walk on the Wild Side, Backpack Giveaway, etc.).
Event Volunteer Opportunities
Vacation Bible School
Volunteer Needs: 20+ volunteers
Roles Needed:
Set-up volunteers
Full-day session volunteers for family events and closing (leaders, assistants, registration, backpack distribution, event support)
Walk on the Wild Side
Volunteer Needs: Approximately 15 volunteers
Roles Needed:
Set-up and registration
Sponsor support and merchandise table
Door guides to direct guests to the picnic area
Clean-up
Toypalooza
Volunteer Needs: Approximately 10 volunteers
Roles Needed:
Transport winter gear to the venue
Registration
Support for family activities
Clean-up
Other important Opportunities
Newsletter Team
Volunteer Needs: 2 volunteers
Responsiblities:
Gather materials for and produce a quarterly newsletter for printing.
Must have access to and familiarity with Adobe or Canva.
Website team
Volunteer Needs: 1-2 volunteers
Responsibilities: Update the website by adding new information and removing expired activities.
