Welcome to the Family Closet!

The Family Closet provides support to Wisconsin families with current foster placements, as well as adoptive, kinship, and guardianship families facing financial challenges due to their placements. It serves as Chosen’s primary resource, offering essential tangible goods for their children.

Generous community donations allow foster and adoptive families to shop at no cost for gently used clothing and shoes (newborn to teen) and other new items, including baby essentials (diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, etc.), toys, baby equipment, and adaptive equipment for special needs. This program serves families in Southeastern Wisconsin in Waukesha and soon through our Mobile Family Closet!

All family shopping visits are by appointment. Please see below for details on scheduling appointments.

The Mobile Family Closet

SEE OUR TEAM TALK ABOUT THIS VISION AT OUR RECENT GALA HERE!

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

Amalie Bowling, Chosen’s Executive Director, began brainstorming ways to make life easier for Chosen families and reach more families in our community.

The Mobile Family Closet will allow us to bring “pop-up” closets to events attended by foster and adoptive families, as well as set up in strategic neighborhoods by partnering with local churches, businesses, and organizations. This initiative will enable us to schedule appointments closer to where families live, fostering more direct relationships and enhancing our support for them.

THANK YOU!!

Thank you to our Family Closet grantors and large donors!

We couldn’t do this work without you!
